Teacher/Coach
Hi, My name is Rob Rose I graduated from Sandy Creek High in 1984.
I have three girls ranging in ages from 11-7-4. The two oldest girls attend school in Lincoln Ne.,with the third daughter starting pre-school this year at Boone Central.
I Graduated from Kearney Sate College in 1989. I played for two seasons of college basketball before a knee enjury ended my career. I then was the Junior Varisty Boys Basketball coach while I was in college, I was the co-head coach my last year at Kearney State.
I helped coached Football and Basketball one year a Sandy Creek High in which we made it to state in Basketball and we were defeated in the semi-finals by Grant.
I then attended Univeristy of Lincoln where I was able to finish a degree in Social Sciences. While attending school I was able to subistute teach in many surrounding schools.
I then became a Paraeducator at Lincoln Northeast for two years. Where I was the Sophomore Boys Basketball coach and did all the scouting for the Varsity team. My last year there we won state for the first time in a long time and then they won it three years in a row. It was a great learning experience for a young coach.
I moved to Newman Grove High School 6 years ago after being at Clay Center for 8 years where I had been the girls Coach. Going into Clay Center they had only won 8 games in the school history before 1992. In my 8 years at Clay Center we went 79-85 getting beat three times in District Finals. It has been a great move for me not only as a Teacher/Coach but my social life where I found a special lady in my life that made my life complete. Thanks
On February 4th 2004 the boys beat Clarkson in the first round of conference and gave Coach Rose his 100th win as a head coach. I would like to thank the boys for the signed Basketball and a great season.
I have a career record of 143-141 as a Vasity Head Coach for Basketball. I have never Coached in the state tournament as a Head Coach but my teams have made it to District finals 5 different times in my career.
I also have a 15-15 record as a Head Football coach in three seasons, taking my teams to two state play-offs out of those three seasons.
