Unit One First Quarter
Students will relate how scientific methods are used to study living things.
Unit Two First Quarter
Students will relate important aspects of an organism's environment and changes that may result in the loss of species.
Unit Three Second Quarter
Students will relate DNA, chloroplasts and mitochondria to their functions.
Unit Four Third Quarter
Students will demonstrate the patterns of heredity and use of genetic technology.
Unit Five Third Quarter
Students will explain how natural selection influences the structural, physiological and behavioral adaptations of organisms.
Unit Six Fourth Quarter
Students will explain how classification helps to study organisms and their evolutionary relationships.
