Posted by Jane Lewis, 5/28/03 at 12:43:08 PM.
Third grade is a big step for your child. Textbooks become more of a student resource guide. Because of this, here are a few strategies to help your third grade student with developing study skills and taking tests.
THINGS TO DO BEFORE A TEST
Know when the test is to be given
Study at the same time every day
Get a good night's sleep and eat a good breakfast
THINGS TO DO DURING A TEST
Read all the directions and preview the test before you begin
Answer the questions you know first
Go back to answer the ones you are unsure of
Review your answers before turning in your test
