Smoking and drinking or possession of alcohol, tobacco or drugs by students is forbidden on the school grounds or in any school sponsored activities, and is subject to immediate suspension from school until the administrator, parents, and the student have the chance to discuss the situation.  This situation will also be referred to the Board of Education.  These students will be immediately suspended from participation in or attending any extracurricular activities sponsored by the school.

     It shall further be the policy of the District that violation of any of the above prohibited acts will result in disciplinary actions being taken within the bounds of applicable law, up to and including short term suspension, long term suspension, expulsion, and referral to appropriate authorities for criminal prosecution.
