The campus at both Atkinson Elementary and Atkinson Junior High are closed during the entire school day including lunch break.  All students must eat in the lunchroom whether they have a sack lunch or eat the school‚s hot lunch.  Students are not allowed to cater food into the school at any time.  For example, when students go for a
dental or doctor appointment they cannot bring back food or drink for other students.  No pop in cafeteria.

     Only those students with special circumstances such as medical reasons will be allowed to eat off campus at their parent‚s home or at the home of a relative.  A doctor‚s written statement must be submitted to the administrator for all medical circumstances.

     Special circumstances will be considered.  For example if a student has a relative visiting such as a grandmother or grandfather, special permission to eat off campus should be directed to the administrator.

     Students leaving campus anytime without permission will be subject to receiving a detention.
