If a student is to be absent for a short period of time such as for a doctor or dentist appointment, he/she should obtain a "Permit To Leave Building" or a "Blue Slip" from the office. These permits will be issued at the parent's request.  If the administrator is unavailable, permission must be obtained from the classroom teacher.

     Except in case of emergencies, the permit request must be in writing, by telephone, or in person from a parent or guardian. 

     Permits will not be issued without parent's request.  Each period of the day is part of the entire school schedule and should be the first responsibility of the student.  Arrangements should be made to complete personal business outside of school hours.

     Students who leave the building or grounds without permission will make up the missed school time after school.
