Dispensing of Prescription/Non-Prescription Drugs |

Atkinson Elementary and Junior High School
will not dispense non-prescription, including cough drops, and
prescription drugs unless authorized in writing by the parent or
guardian of each child. Teachers are instructed not to dispense
medication that is not in the doctor's or pharmacist's original
container with the label attached giving dosage and directions.
Under no circumstance will medication be dispensed without first having
written parental instructions and permission. Permission forms
can be obtained at the school office or school nurse.
