WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT FROM THE
STAFF AT ATKINSON ELEMENTARY/JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
1. We will try to insure your safety in our school by being in
hallways, locker areas, and checking out the restrooms.
(Bullying and harassment will not be tolerated.)
2. Our staff will not tolerate student and adult "put-downs" in
our school.
3. Teachers will provide assistance to students, monitor daily
work, and keep you informed on your progress in order to
help you have a positive learning experience here.
4. Our staff will take time to help students when they request
assistance in problem solving by listening, caring, and
offering alternatives.
5. We will be models of the behavior that we expect of our
students (being in class on time, being prepared for class,
showing respect toward students and co-workers, and being
polite and courteous).
6. We will enforce team and school rules and expectations in a
fair manner.
7. We will hold you accountable for putting forth a good effort
and completing daily work while also being responsible for
making up tests, quizzes and assignments after being absent.
8. We will continue to provide a school that values hard work,
learning, caring about each other, cooperation, team work and
citizenship.
