Biography
 I am Dawn Johnson. This is my 11th year at Madison Middle School. I teach 6th grade Social Studies, 7th grade Geography, and 8th grade American History. I graduated from Wayne State College in 1996 and have been active in education ever since. I returned to college to further my education, and graduated from Wayne State College in May of 2006 with my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am also a wife and mother. My best friend from Junior High and High school lives in North Carolina. When we get together we have a blast! My husband's name is Andy and we have 2 children. Breanna is 14, and is in 8th grade. Cain is 10 and is in 4th grade. I also have three "fury-sons" named Flash Gordon, Eli Claws, and Ian Wrinkles. Flash is a 85 pound, 7 1/2 year old bassett hound. Ian Wrinkles is a mini-daschund who is quite the stinker! Eli is one crazy cat!!!! At 4 1/2 years old he still acts like a kitten! I am an avid sports fan. Even after the "worst 3 seasons in my lifetime" I still love Husker Football. I am very excited to see how my Huskers do this season under 1st year head coach Bo Pelini. I am also a Texas Longhorns fan. I get A LOT of grief for that from my family, but that's ok! Other than sports, my next love is Halloween.(just ask my neighbors, co-workers and friends) Each year I create a haunted garage and have about 75 to 100 kids visit each Halloween. We also travel to Ponca State Park during the month of October to participate in Hallowfest. You decorate your campsite for Halloween, and people judge it. The last 4 years we have taken 1st place! I love spending time with my family in Norfolk and in Lincoln, Ne.
I love driving my Dad's restored 1950 Pink Chevy Sedan. It's a blast to take it to Car shows.
