Life Skills V: typically sophomores & juniors-Child Development and Parenting: semester class focusing on the decision to parent, prenatal development, birth & delivery, newborns, infant & toddler development; project: interaction with preschoolers either at Head Start or an in-school play school.
Life Skills V-A Semester course--Child Development and Parenting
Textbook: The Developing Child (grade is average of daily, journaling, and tests X2)
Semester II: Project: Volunteer at Head Start once a week to observe, interact, and journal about 3-4 yr olds; wear Empathy Belly 1 class period; "parent " RealCare Baby for 3 days;
