7th Grade Exploratory-a 9 week class 

This class meets for one class period for 9 weeks.  It is required of all 7th graders.  Once every two weeks, the students will have a lesson taught by the guidance department

shopping:

Exploratory:  required 8th grade-9 weeks:  Discussed new MyPyramid, personal eating and activity plans, supermarket shopping, food safety, reading recipes, microwave, snack and luncheon cookery.  Labs are conducted after each topic to practice cooking skills.  Other topics included osteoporasis, fast food choices, eating disorders and weight control, sports nutrition.  No text.

 

8th Exploratory
