Kindergarten Science Curriculum

1. Students will describe the connection between certain body parts and how these parts help them use their senses to classify objects in their environment.
2. Students will describe the characteristics of and classify objects as either living or non-living.
3. Students will identify daytime, nighttime and the four seasons(winter, spring, summer, fall as cyclical patterns that occur in nature and describe the effects of these patterns on weather, people, plants, and animals.
4. Students will identify exercise dental care, cleanliness, and eating nutritious foods as good health habits and describe how these health habits benefit the body.
5. Students will identify and explain the importance of following fire safety, playground safety, and traffic safety rules.
