Have some Thanksgiving fun with Photoshop. Click here for some free Thanksgiving icons. Or try taking a classic art print that feaures the pilgrims, and Modernize it! If you want to download some holiday brushes, this site has a great collection of those, and all kinds of free brushes to download. And if you're feeling ambitious enough to design your own pumpkin, click here.
When you're ready to begin experimenting with Photoshop, check out a few of the following websites for a plethora of online tutorials. Note, the first part of the page simply explains why "googling" for tutorials isn't always productive; however, the last part (scroll down the page!) has a list of PROMISING Text Effects tutorials.
If you're adventurous, try these instructions for Advanced Text Effects. This next site offers a "roadmap" to hundreds & hundreds of cool text effects. If you want to try out some different looks for 3-D text, try this one. Good Luck!
Try this tutorial if you want Fiery Text!
And now that you know how to load "actions," try out these different Frames and Edges. (Don't forget to EXTRACT the file after you download it -- BEFORE you load the action in Photoshop!)
Want to download some brushes? Here's a couple of very good sites: If you like a hint of Smoke on your image, you can find a brush for it, along with many others. This link offers brushes and more (including .png images, shapes, & other collections). If you like creative brushes, then this site also has great variety. Experiment and have fun!
Just how well do you know your way around Microsoft Word 2007? Click on the link to get some help online. Scroll down the page to view the Table of Contents.
If you're ready to have some fun with photos, but you want something easier (and quicker) than photoshop, check out this awesome site!
If you want to research some of the latest innovations or trends in technology, check out some links on these reputable techno-related web sites, to get you started: MSNBC, Technology Review, TechEblog, Discover Magazine
Here's another artistic project for you: try making the symmetrical form called a mandala. Click on the link for very detailed, easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions.
I also discovered this website (among the thousands!) that looks promising. I can't guarantee that the step-by-step instructions are flawless, but the images they display are intriguing. Click here for more tutorials (and be sure to scroll down the page to see what's offered).
