Using Progress Monitoring for Data-Based Decision-Making
This workshop will provide
information on how to implement Curriculum-Based Monitoring as an
evidence-based form of progress monitoring, including administration,
scoring, graphing, and decision-making.

Presenter: Dr. Erica Lembke
 Dr. Erica Lembke, Assistant Professor, University of Missouri and Trainer for the National Center on Progress Monitoring
has 13 years of experience as a teacher and researcher in the field of
special education. Her research interests include developing strategies
to improve elementary special education students' reading performance
and progress monitoring in basic academic skills (reading and writing
in particular) for elementary, middle, and secondary students. She has
presented over 35 sessions at both the state and national level on
implementing progress monitoring and effective inclusive practices.
Audience: This workshop is intended for Superintendents, Elementary Principals,
K-3 Classroom Teachers, SAT Team members, and Special Education
Teachers.
Fees: None - This workshop is paid for by Special Education Continuous Improvement Project Grant.
Outcomes: Describe supporting research for Curriculum-based
Measurement; describe how CBM fits into a problem-solving and a RTI
model; implement CBM including selecting materials, administering
probes, goal-setting, and graphing; describe how CBM data can be used
to inform intervention; list several research-based interventions.
